About the pianist…
David Zouzout attended his first piano lessons in the USA. In 1976 he came to France and was taught by Bernard Picavet, Blandine Dumay, Pierre Sancan, Jacqueline Bourgès-Maunoury and Françoise Thinat.
He has won numerous piano competitions and was awarded the „diplôme d’exécution“ at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris.
He is currently being mentored by the internationally acclaimed music pedagogue Monique Deschaussées.
A piano teacher himself, he has been teaching for over 20 years.
At the same time he has continued giving concerts and performing regularly in the famous houses of Paris and throughout the whole of France.
His playing is a subtle combination of virtuosity and delicate nuances. His unique style is expressed in his wide ranging repertoire in the classic and romantic styles spanning from Bach to Ravel.
The path of discovery a musician takes when approaching a new piece of music requires him to find the meaning behind every individual note in order to create a unique sound and colour that weaves the individual notes into a melodic phrase. In this way the listener is introduced to a world of colourful, rich and diverse sound which touches his /her soul.
